Nanchen Dolls have been hand made in a small workshop in Martinhagen/Schauenburg, Germany since 1983. No less than 15 employees work on producing Nanchen Dolls. The doll’s faces are hand-painted directly in the workshop. Due to the dolls being handmade, there will be slight variations.

Handwashing Recommended
Hand washing is best and when washing, please note that Nanchen dolls are filled with sheep's wool. These natural fibres shrink and mat at temperatures that are too hot or if you use too harsh detergent. Please use a wool detergent and do not rub, brush, spin or wring. After washing, squeeze carefully and leave to dry on an absorbent terry cloth towel.
The hair is made of high-quality mohair fibres. To style it, you can simply use a hairbrush.
Recommendation for children under 36 months
We do recommend that dolls with hair are not used by children under 36 months. This is because hair and small parts can be swallowed.
