Stockmar Crayons

Crayons are a great way for children to develop fine motor skills and at the same time learn about colors. I have these for my grandchildren. I love them because they are completely nontoxic and really fun to use. They have a smooth application with rich vibrant colors that comes from food grade pigments. Beeswax is the safest option. They are a perfect size. Stockmar recommends ages three and up. One can introduce crayons earlier, but all crayons pose a choking hazard so parental supervision is advised.

Pirate Making Kit

I love this kit because it was so much fun and at the same time they are learning artistic coloring techniques. I would say that this takes about an hour and a half to complete. I think it is good to have an adult reading the instructions and guiding them one step at a time. Recommended ages are 6 and up but my 4 year old grandson did very well and loved it.

Fairy Making Kit

I bought this for my granddaughter and she loved making the fairies and playing with them afterwards. This kit makes 2 adorable fairy dolls, which makes it possible for an adult to make one and the child can mimic each step to make their own. I think that it takes around 30 to 45 minutes to complete. Recommended ages are 6  and up and 4 and up with adult help.
