Polychromos Color pencils are our top of the line color pencils. They have a thicker lead and are preferred by professional artists. Albrecht Durer Color pencils are a watercolor version of the Polychromos pencils. When water is added to the drawing made by Albrecht Durer pencils, the pigment dissolves and you can paint with them. Goldfaber color pencils have a little bit thinner lead and less colors available. Their lower price point makes them ideal for hobby and student artists. They are also available in color and watercolor versions.
